    Module Overview

    The Overcurrent Protection Test module is a core component of KRT, specifically designed for verifying and debugging various overcurrent protection functions (50/51/67/67N, etc.) in power systems. It provides comprehensive, flexible, and intuitive testing solutions, suitable for scenarios such as protection relay device R&D, factory acceptance testing, on-site commissioning of substation protection relay devices, and periodic maintenance.

    1. Comprehensive Testing Capabilities

    • Supports phase-to-ground overcurrent, phase-to-phase overcurrent, and sequence component overcurrent (positive-sequence I₁, negative-sequence I₂, zero-sequence I₀) testing.

    • Compatible with both definite-time and inverse-time characteristic curves.

    • Configurable directional (67/67N) or non-directional (50/51) overcurrent protection elements.

    • Enables independent configuration of corresponding overcurrent settings, time constants and inverse-time curve parameters based on different fault types (phase-to-ground, phase-to-phase, sequence components)

    • Ensures test conditions accurately match actual protection requirements

     

    4. Intuitive Error Visualization

    • Configurable current value tolerance range and time value tolerance range

    • Displays total time error range (shaded area) on characteristic curve plot, provides immediate visual confirmation of whether test results meet specifications

    5.Multi-section Curve Fitting Test

    • Supports simultaneous configuration of multiple overcurrent characteristic curves (e.g., Section I definite-time, Section II inverse-time).

    • The software automatically synthesizes a complete, continuous overcurrent characteristic curve based on configured pickup values and time parameters for testing, accurately simulating real protection logic. This significantly simplifies testing procedures for multi-section coordinated protection.

     

    6.Flexible Test Scheme Management
    Allows creation of multiple overcurrent characteristic curve schemes. Users can selectively enable or disable any curve scheme for testing, facilitating scenario-specific verification or batch testing.

     

    7.Intelligent Result Evaluation
    The software automatically analyzes each test result against pre-set characteristic curves and tolerance ranges, providing immediate and unambiguous "Passed" or "Failed" conclusions. This greatly enhances testing efficiency and objectivity.

     

    8.Professional Report Generation
    Generates professional test reports (RTF/PDF formats) with one click. Reports are automatically categorized and saved by fault type (e.g., "Phase-to-Phase Overcurrent Test Report", "Phase-to-Ground Overcurrent Test Report"), with clear presentation of results for easy reference and archiving.

     

    9.Highly Customizable Reports

    • Supports company logo embedding to enhance professionalism and brand identity.

    • Offers report format options:

    - Long Format: Includes detailed overcurrent characteristic curves visually comparing test points with theoretical curves and error ranges

    Efficient Testing Workflow

    1. Module Initialization
    Launch KRT software and select the "Overcurrent Protection Test" module.

     

    2. Protection Element Configuration

    • Select test objects: IN (phase-to-ground), IL (phase-to-phase), I1 (positive-sequence), I2 (negative-sequence), I0 (zero-sequence)

    • Configure characteristic curves: Set definite-time or inverse-time parameters, directionality (directional/non-directional)
      (Multiple elements and curves can be added)
